thankful

This Christmas, I'm thankful for my two healthy boys... that were born when they were supposed to be born... thankful that I never had to make that heart-wrenching journey of life with a preemie. Today I found the story of Kayleigh Anne Freeman, who was born on June 23, 2008, weighing 1 lb. And so far, has stayed alive, fighting for her life at times. Watch the video, wipe some tears, say a prayer... and then, if you can, make a donation.  Kayleigh has been in the hospital for 6 months and her parents will be facing some huge hospital bills.  I don't know this family, and they did not ask me to ask for donations.  I am a mother, and the story of this brave little girl has definitely touched my heart.

I am a mother of 2 preemies. The hardest thing I have ever had to do was leave them at the hospital after giving birth. I am very "thankful" they did not have to stay in the hospital for 6 months though. My prayers are with Kayleigh.

This is a beautiful post. My two twin nieces were born a little premature but were perfectly healthy and only had to stay two weeks on the NICU.

P.S. You are more than welcome to use the Christmas I Corinthians 13 on your blog!
