There is just so much sadness & sickness in the world... I think spending time online has shown me that more than anything. I get daily requests for prayers for this baby dying or that mother fighting cancer... and it can get a person down if you're a "cup half empty" type of person already (check!)...
Today it got personal. I got an email from one of my closest friends... her brother- and sister-in-law have been spending time as missionaries in Kenya and this morning they lost their little baby girl they had worked so hard to save. They have only one child, a 5-year-old girl, and this baby was prayed for and long awaited. It seems so sad, so unfair... And although we aren't that close friends of theirs, they are from our church group and we were in the same young couples' group for years. Please pray for them, especially for little J (the 5-year-old) who so badly wanted a little sister, and who had to learn so young about saying goodbye...

Oi. That is so hard & so sad to hear. I hope the family has a lot of support over there & people to grieve with. I will send positive thoughts their way.

That's terrible...and it's the second time today that I've heard bad news like that. I'll be praying for your friends.
