I'm glad I could read the article because, man, was it interesting! I really do think that many kid-free women feel the same as this letter writer. You just don't understand what it's like to live the sacrificial life of motherhood until you're a mom. The columnist did us justice!
What a great article! I will play the devils advocate here just for a moment. This lady in the article explained the ins and outs of caring for a child. We rarely do and most of the time we don't need to. Some people really don't understand what it takes. I suggest that she trying going threw the day with a borrowed child and getting everything done in a timely manner. Then she will get it. My kids are teens now but I can't tell you how many hours I accumulated buckling kids into car seats with my butt hanging out the door getting rained on! Everthing just takes longer,its just the way it is.
