Friends… honestly how would we make it through life without them?! Today I just want to take the time to let all my friends know how incredibly much you mean to me. And yes, I do mean my e-friends as well. There have been days that were so painful and raw and I wanted to confide in someone, yet it was too raw to visit face-to-face… and those days you guys, my readers, came through in the comments and I felt your caring. Thank you! What exactly is our purpose in life if not to make it a little better for the people we meet each day. Like Rachel Barkey shared, as she was dying, our purpose is to serve, as Jesus served. When we start thinking, I wonder what I can do to make her/his life a little easier, a little happier, rather than Why are people not putting our more for me? then we’re a true friend.
So don’t ever think commenting on a blog is useless. Bloggers live for the comments, it’s the only pay some of us get!

Oh <3. I saw your post yesterday, and I watched the video. I wanted to comment back but her video really gave me some things to think about. I wanted to watch it again, actually before I commented but I didn't get around to it yet. It really touched me that as I watched her, I didn't realise that she'd died a couple days before hand, and that her memorial was the day that I watched it. My heart went out to her family and loved ones, it really did.
And agreed, we don't always comment but it's helpful for the people we read if we do. I tend to click the ads on my friends blogs too, knowing that they are there for a reason and it helps them out a little.
Thanks for sharing as you have, hey. Posts like todays and yesterdays may not get alot of comments, but I think they mean just as much as those that do :)
So true -- friends really are the meat and potatoes of life.
I haven't been able to bring myself to watch the video. I let it set in my google reader all day yesterday. Still haven't watched it today either. I think there is a deep fear in all of us that we might be the ones who will either die or our husbands will. I guess I better watch the video to see how she deals with that, huh?
