hanging on

Summer is hanging on, after all… by a thread, but it’s still here. Blink, and you’ll miss it! Today was such a great day… still is actually, since it’s only 4 pm yet… I got a babysitter this morning and went for coffee with one of my very dearest friends (thanks, D!) and got some peace & a lot of girl talk in. Very necessary for me to fully function again! Hubs came home for lunch, we had healthy whole grain sandwiches, apples and Coke Zero. After he took off, the boys and I went for a walk uptown, Sawyer secure and happy in his Chariot, and the big boys skipping ahead to the park. I bought them ice cream cones and tried to hang on tightly to all the fun things that make up summer in our simple quiet little town. It was great. Now they ran down the street to get haircuts (we are so blessed to have our hairdresser friend on our street!), Sawyer is sleeping and I have some coveted mommy time. Life is good… how are you celebrating today?
