I’ve taken to calling Sawyer the bubs… it sorta evolved, first babes, now bubs… In any case, I figured it was time for a bit of an update. I finally have a new keyboard on my laptop and posting will hopefully happen a lot more regularly now!
Sawyer is now 8.5 months old; can’t believe how fast the time flew by and how different life is now than a year ago! Three boys, we love them all dearly but what an adjustment! No longer can we get a “table for four, please” or have one child per parent. It’s a learning curve but I think we’re rocking it so far! For one thing, the 3rd child doesn’t get half the toys and gadgets and pampering that the 1st did. Parenting gets simplified, more efficient as each one comes along…
I’ve been trying some aspects of Baby Led Weaning*, although I’m much too paranoid of choking to go all the way. I like to give him whole carrot sticks and broccoli florets to chew on, but I also mash up bananas and avocadoes with a fork. I did put away the baby food grinder though and he’s really enjoying the slightly chunky textures. He was at least 6-7 months when I started. Seriously, there is no reason to start your baby at 4 months… why push it before you have to!!
Sawyer sat at 7 months exactly and crawled at 8 months exactly! I’m not stressed that he’s late… the other boys walked at 15 and 19 months respectively… He’s a super contented and laid-back baby. I’m loving every minute!!
